To make or to take a photo

In my first class, my instructor gave us the first assignment: Shoot two photographs to show the difference between “to take a photo” and “to make a photo“. After critique with the instructor and classmates, I have a conclusion:

To take a photo is to replicate. I record my life and my memory. It doesn't need to be serious. I can take it easy and relax.

To make a photo is to hunt. I have to capture a subject and a narrative. By training with aesthetics and techniques, I have ability to build my style.

For me, photography is a kind of art that requires me to train, push, and refine myself.
